Personal Care Services (PCS)
Generally means hands-on or supportive assistance that helps someone safely complete everyday activities while continuing to live at home.

Bathing & grooming
assistance with bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, and general grooming.
Dressing
helping clients select clothing and get dressed or undressed.
Toileting & personal hygiene
assistance getting to/from the bathroom and maintaining personal hygiene.
Mobility & transfers
assistance walking around the home, repositioning, and transferring between a bed, chair, or wheelchair.
Eating assistance
helping with meals and eating when appropriate.
Meal preparation
preparing simple meals based on the client's needs or care plan.
Medication reminders
reminding clients to take medications as directed; this is different from administering medication.
Light housekeeping
basic cleaning related to maintaining the client's immediate living environment.
Laundry & linen changes
helping maintain clean clothing, bedding, and linens.
Companionship & supervision
providing social interaction and appropriate supervision.
Errands and essential activities
assistance with certain everyday activities when included in the person's service plan
